My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in mindful self-compassion. Rather than following a rigid formula, we'll work together to understand your experiences and identify what will be most helpful for you.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you develop a different relationship with anxious thoughts and uncomfortable emotions. Instead of spending all your energy trying to eliminate anxiety, we'll work on making room for difficult experiences while taking steps toward the life you want.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify patterns in your thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety. We'll explore how these patterns affect your everyday life and practice more flexible, helpful ways of responding.

Mindful Self-Compassion

Mindful self-compassion helps you become more aware of your emotions and respond to yourself with kindness rather than criticism. We'll practice meeting difficult moments with understanding while building the emotional resilience to navigate challenges.

Relational Therapy

Our relationships shape how we see ourselves, understand our emotions, and navigate the world. In therapy, we'll explore how your past and present relationships may influence patterns of anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or difficulty trusting yourself. By developing a deeper understanding of these patterns in a supportive, collaborative space, you can begin to relate to yourself and others in new ways, build healthier connections, and feel more confident showing up as your authentic self.

These approaches aren't one-size-fits-all. Some sessions may focus on practical tools and strategies, while others may involve slowing down to explore your emotions, relationships, and the experiences that have shaped how you relate to yourself. We'll adjust our work based on your needs and goals.
